Dear Yuletide Author,

This is the first time I'm participating in Yuletide, and I'm really excited! I am kind of new to fandom & feel like I sort of did things backwards, as I wrote a bunch and put things on AO3 before I ever got a Livejournal (If you want to see the things I've written, I'm blue_spruce on AO3 and blue--spruce on tumblr). I'm looking forward to feeling like I'm actually part of things, this fall. :)

I'm pretty easy to please...I will try anything once, basically (and if it's well-written and believable I'll probably come back for more), so don't stress. I'm sure I'll love whatever you write.

Some things I love

I adore good dialogue, slow-build sexual tension, and world-building. I also am weak for fanworks that critique/subvert problematic real-life stuff, like sexism and homophobia.

My fandoms:

Молодежка | Junior League

I adore this show and these characters and would be happy with literally any sort of story, gen or slash or AU or *whatever*. Tell me about Makeev's backstory, or the kinds of things Misha worries about at night, or how Sasha got into hockey. Give me teenagers exploring their sexuality in the shadow of Russian anti-gay laws -- Misha and Dima spend a good amount of time being frustrated by the girls they're chasing; maybe they get each other off sometimes in the hotels for away games, just as buddies. Or imagine what would have happened if the on-line girl Dima was trying to hide from his brother was actually a boy.

If you are looking for a specific prompt, I am so, so fascinated by what a story focused on the Russian anti-homosexuality propaganda laws would look like in context of this show. All the characters are *agressively* straight, canonically, but what if, for one of the characters, that's just for show? (See: Some things I love.)

Bourne Movies

I want a window into Bourne's head during the second movie after Marie is killed. Basically, I guess, a character study. As angsty/dark/chilling as you want.

The Bourne movies are pretty much my favorite trilogy ever, and I am endlessly intrigued by Jason Bourne and his quest to reclaim his humanity. The moment when he burns her pictures aches. How does he keep going after that?

Good Will Hunting RPF

I would really like a story where Ben and Matt are hooking up during the filming of Good Will Hunting because it's fun and easy and a way to let off steam and they *need* that -- they've never been part of a project that mattered so much to either of them before, and the pressure they're under, both from internal and external forces, is a lot. No angst, please.

I would love to read a story where it's clear how much they care about and are proud of each other and the work they've been doing. And if you wove in anything from the movie itself or the city or their history there, I would love you forever. <3

Re: Junior League, you are so right about how aggressive the heterosexualtiy of all the characters is. I look at Alina's figure skating partner and think "I am not sure this sort of jealousy is realistic, because he has such a high likelihood of being gay." (Or maybe that's why he's so jealous? Performative heterosexuality?)
